Robot Dragon

A Chardalyn Dragon is a magical dragon construct from Dungeons & Dragons. It is created out of pieces of the substance Chardalyn, the substance's demonic properties carrying on to the creature and rendering it a malevolent force.

Appearance[]

Chardalyn Dragons are massive and bulky, making it slower on the ground then the average dragon, although this doesn't negatively affect their flight speed. The construct is mostly made entirely out of Chardalyn with its wings and its heart being the only exceptions, its wings being constructed out of an oil film as tough as rubber and its heart being an orb of radiant energy.[1]

History[]

In Faerun, A Chardalyn Dragon was constructed by the Dreuger Xardorok to attack Ten-Towns in Icewind Dale.[1] After causing havoc, the dragon was eventually dealt with by a group of adventurers.

Habits[]

Chardalyn Dragons are malevolent beings that spread chaos wherever they go, enjoying the suffering they cause. They are entirely at the whims at their creator, with the dragons putting their own self-preservation and survival under the needs of them.[1]

Combat[]

Chardalyn Dragons like to tear their enemies apart and collapse structures in the process. The dragon will use its breath weapon if their foe is out of their reach.[1]

Powers and Abilities[]

The dragon's breath weapon is ray of radiant energy that it emits from its "mouth", which deals immediate and powerful radiant damage. In place of the average dragon's frightful presence ability, the Chardayln Dragon has a malevolent presence which corrupts enemies. Those that are corrupted will pursue and attack creatures at the dragon's designation.[1]

The dragon is naturally resistant to magical spells and effects, and it's physical body is unable to be changed magically, making it immune to transmutation and petrification magic among other spells of the sort. [1]
