The Dragonator is a weapon primarily designed for repelling large dragons, commonly seen in the Monster Hunter universe.

Description[]
Despite it's name, the dragonator at it's core is little more than a large spear or spike that is fired out from a wall or hull to impale whatever happens to be standing in front of it. Most of the time, these weapons are mounted on fortress walls in areas where attacks by large dragons are common, with hunters distracting and drawing targets in close. The design and firing mechanism of each dragonator varies though. Some are stone pillars, others metal spears, and most modern dragonators feature barbed tips and spin at high speeds.
Usage[]
The earliest known dragonator is located in the ancient sunken ruins of a civilization that lived on Moga Island. Castle Schrade also has functioning dragonators. Most modern cities features these weapon on their walls, as do many boats, airships, and sand-ships, though the sand-ships do not features them for defense, but rather hunting down Mohrans in the Great Desert.
