The largest of all serpents, the Standard Western Dragon is a scaly reptile with broad spiny wings, four legs, and a long serpentine tail. Its teeth and claws are cutting sharp. It usually has horns, and sometimes its tongue and and tail are barbed. Keen of sight and acute if hearing, it was watchful eyes and pointed ears (sometimes). It breathes smoke and fire, and its roar shakes the ground. This breed can live hundreds of years.

Puff,a Standard Western Dragon

For want of a better term, the Standard Western Dragon is my name for the best-known and most popular dragon breed in Europe and much of North America as well. It is the variety that most Westerners envision when they see or hear the word "dragon."

It usually has horns, and sometimes its tongue and and tail are barbed. Keen of sight and acute if hearing, it was watchful eyes and pointed ears (sometimes).
