Yegong Hao Long (literally meaning "Lord Ye loves dragons") is a Chinese fable that uses a tale about Lord Ye Gao, a mythical individual who loved dragons.
According to the story, Ye Gao had an obsession with dragons. He would decorate his home with dragon ornaments. Out of admiration, a dragon came to visit him. On sight of a real dragon however, Ye Gao became terrified and quickly ran away.[1]
This story is famous in China, with the fable itself often being used to mock people who claim to love something but are actually fearful of it.[1]
